293 Store and Breeding Cattle
All Motorways Lead To Norwich !!
Yet another nice July entry met a trade which is constantly pressured upwards by the huge demand for beef and the resultant buoyant market for clean cattle and cull cows.
No real strength again today, but what a trade for the cattle present, with most lots attracting 5 bidders at a time, all eager to fill depleted yards and fields.
The dispersal sale of Blonde Suckler Cows with A.Angus x calves kicked off proceedings, on behalf of J. Fryett, reaching £2,000 twice with others at £1750, £1720 and a bottom price of £1500.
The store cattle trade is not so much "on fire" as "nuclear" with buyers falling over themselves to get in.
