All roads lead to Norwich and another great days trading in all sections, with Cows and Calves to £1440 for Lambert & Co, a 12mo Pure Bred Limousin Steer to £1200 for Anita Padfield and 15mo Heifers to £1055 for Nick Gardner.
The current beef trade and rise in cull cow prices is fueling the increased prices seen in the store ring. Many big cattle made over £1000

(25) Cull & Prime Cattle

Yet another fine entry met a very fast trade with lots of buyers fighting for possession.
Charoalis cows from RJ Beck sold to 159ppkg or £1120. BB cows from R. Criddle to 149ppkg or £1050. Feeding type cows from SG Lutkin & Son reached the dizzy heights of 179ppkg or £1029 and A. Angus cows from Astley Farms to 144ppkg or £1044. No wonder Cows and Calves have gone up - wait until you see the calf report !!

Breeding Cattle

Fierce competition resulted in some very high prices with young Simmental x Cows and calves from Lamnbert & Co to £1440. A.Angus Cows and calves from Wroxham Home Farms to £1400 and Hereford x Heifers and calves from Brandon Francis to £1350

(50) Calves & Stirks

Not a bad entry for us at this time of year met a wonderful trade with almost as many buyers as calves. Suckler bred from Alan Twell sold to £390, £380 and £370. Angus heifer calf from Raven Bros reached £380
BB heifers from Potter made £370 and £350. Young BB bulls from Alex Dann sold to £330 and A.Angus from David Parsons sold to £315, £310 and £305 for bulls and £300, £280, £250 for heifers.
Hereford Stirks from John Perry reached £440

Still a good entry for the time of year. A few too small lambs forward today. they really want to be at least 38kg for the optimum trade.
