Nobody knew what would happen and some were slightly nervous, however, many cattle were very well sold, some a touch easier, overall we think we had an excellent day. Strong 28mo Steers from Barry Walker sold to £1115 and young 12mo Steers from DS & D Mach made £950

A very nice trade for all categories. AA heifers sold to 175ppkg (£1102) for J.P. Henderson. Char cows reached 130ppkg (£1040) for Richard Beck. B. Blue cows made £1025 for Pat Key

 

Breeding Cattle

In the Breeding section, there were many bidders for everything forward. Maybe something to do with the green stuff !  Cows and calves reached £1060 for J. Smith and a nice pedigree in calf Hereford Heifer from Dr Leisa Freeman made £1000

(58) Calves & Stirks

A few more about this week and a better trade for the better ones. No show stoppers but B. Blue bulls from Alex Dann sold to £290 and £265. Colin Gapp made £280 of a B.Blue Bull calf and David Parsons sold Angus Bulls to £252. Johnny Wyatt made £230 for an Angus Bull and Stirks sold to £475 for a Simmental from Sharon Morter
