The principality has done it again - many Auctioneers are predicting gloom and doom due to the Beef trade, straw, feed, money etc. However, at Norwich the trade went swimmingly well.
The man from Essex had a tremendous run of quality Store Cattle which were presented very professionally as normal - and what a trade he had and to be honest it was completely deserved.
Pedigree Limousin Heifer from D & S Wharton sold to £3,550 at 9 months old and the Show was a great success. Many thanks to the judge, Mr Graham Jackson, who carried out the task most professionally

The Cull trade is under pressure, however we had a very nice go,with Cows from A Hurn & Partners reaching a market record of £3220 (350ppkg) with half the entry over £2,000

A lot of interest in Cows and Calves with the diminishing Suckler Herd saw outfits from Ben Warne reach £2,300 and J Harvey £2,200
Pedigree Limousin Stock Bull from N Peasgood to £2,750 and JR Kent to £2,090

A select entry for the Show and once again many thanks to the Judge - Mr Roger Long for carrying out his task with his usual great skill and judgement. Alex Dann took the Championship with a young Charolais Bull Calf at £700.
CW Potter was in the prizes as usual and made £625 of a Blue Bull (as did Alex) with Angus from CB & SC Gapp to £440
