More Buyers than Cows resulted in fast prices topping at 314ppkg for Paul Harvey Livestock and £2,226 for GP Barnes

BREEDING CATTLE
The breeding section found more interest than for a long time (note the special entry for the next market on the 19th from Margaretting Hall Farm -David Coe sold Hereford x Heifers & young Calves to £2,150, £1,950 & £1,750. Bullers from WE Chantry reached £2,300 for Shorthorns.
CALVES (24)
The train keeps on rolling - with R Paterson in the boiler room this week, selling their posh Charolais to £730, £720, £710 (twice) £670. CW Potter topped the Blues at £650 closely followed by Alex Dann at £630. The bottom calf price was £330 - when have you ever seen that - it would have been top not that long ago.

Traditionally less stock present during Wimbledon fortnight, but the farmers who came were satisfied
