Cull Cattle (18)

Another speedy trade today with Cows to 350ppkg for SG Lutkin & £2335 for Wroxham Home Farms

BREEDING CATTLE

A good entry of Cows and Calves met a good demand.

South Devon Cows with young Calves from E & J Archer sold to £2,500, £2,500, £2,400, £2,300.
Wroxham Home Farm sold an Angus Cow with Bull Calf to £2,400 and a run of Pedigree Simmental Cows with Angus Calves from Mautby Farms reached £2,450 £2,200 £2,150

CALVES (33)

New Buyers and again a fast trade. CW Potter took top spot with a B. Blue Heifer at £680, follwed by Alex Dann with Blues to £565. A very nice run of calves from Redgate Dairy reached £485 for Blues and they also had a run of Black and Whites which sold to £290, £250, £240.
Angus from Alex Dann sold to £340 and Limousins from RJ Barnes reached £425

SHEEP (583)

Good to see a few drops of rain, helping Farmers with the grass situation. More stock than expected with Hoggs dropping everywhere. Cull Ewes were in favour with a Festival looming.

PRIME HOGGS (211)
Easier than previous weeks but as every quality sells. La Hogue Farms had a very good trade with his well presented Hoggs and topped at 358.90 pkg and T. Child at £157 per head.

A handful of Hoggs today and topped at £84 for Howlett Farmings decent Texels.

EWES & LAMBS (65)

The main highlights were A Mackenzie selling Cheviot Ewes (4t) and lambs to £120 and Mrs Staffords Ewes and Suffolk Lambs (FM) to £116 per life.
