BREEDING CATTLE
Today we held our Special Cow & Calf Show & Sale competing for the Paul Davis Memorial Trophy. Special thanks to our Judge Richard Jones who carried out a very proffesional job and eventually awared the Trophy and Champion Rosette to A.Hodge of Pulham Market with a very smart Beef Shorthorn x Cow and her Red & White B.Blue x Steer Calf which went on to make £4,500.
Reserve Champion was awared to Helen Collins, Tofts Monk with a Limousin x Cow and her Aberdeen Angus x Heifer Calf sellling to £3,600
Top price of the day went to Tom Kemp Farms with a tremendous Limousin Cow with twin Aberdeen Angus Calves making £5,000

£4,000 David Andrews Pedigree Limousin Cow & birth notified Heifer Calf
£3,700 Helen Collins Limousin x Cow & Angus x Calf
£3,050 Geoff Brand Angus Cow with Angus Calf

There were no couples sold under £2,400
In Calf Heifers were sought after selling to £2,550 for Raven Bros Blonde x
A good run of 14 Pedigree Simmental Heifers from Paul Gunther sold to £1,950, £1,850, £1,800
R.Revell sold 14mo Hereford Heifers to £1,800 and Colin Grimes had a run of 2yo Simmental x Heifers to £1,750
There was a good demand for Stock Bulls with a Pedigree Charolais from Clare Germany reaching £3,500 and a Pure Bred British Blue Bull from R. Partridge & Son Ltd selling to £3,010.
