A select entry was well received and sold to 162ppkg or £1384 for Tom Kemp Farms

BREEDING CATTLE

Strong demand for Cows and Calves  with WE Chantry selling Beef Shorthorn Cows with strong calves to £2,180. DR Coe sold shapey Limousin Calves on their Mothers to £1,620 and Shorthorn Heifers from WE Chantry reached £1,330.

CALVES (51)

Another nice entry and the usual trade to match, with a lot of interest all round. There were many buyers for smaller and younger types, unlike some markets this week, who apparently struggled a bit. do not forget the motto - keeping smiling.
Top price went to CW Potter with a B.Blue at £400. Alex Dann hit £340 for Blues and £150 for Black and Whites. Herefords sold to £295 from Tom Crawford and £240 for Eddy Brigham. Small B.Blue calves reached £230, £210, £200 for Cholmondeley Farms.

SHEEP (589)

A good show of sheep at Norwich and a good crowd in attendance and prices on the whole very competitive with other outlets.

A few mofre than previous sale, but more still needed. Averages very competative in comparison with other Markets. Mitch Britten topping at 352ppkg and £169.00
