For the month of June, there has never been so many store cattle in Norwich Market, not even in its hey day when larger numbers of stock were present in the area. The store trade continues at very high levels. The beef trade might be at a turning point - hopefully.  Farmers will try and carry on through what may become a very sticky time and will reap the rewards once food production once again becomes priority number one.

Burgers are flying and so are Cull Cows. No big ones in the sale today, but Cows sold to 173ppkg or £1202 for S C Holden. Overall average £165.5ppkg

A nice entry forward,with a Pedigree Limousin Stock Bull from H.H. Cawston reaching £1,770 and Cow and Calf outfits to £1,460 for Messers Lambert & Co and £1,340 for RH Rash & Son.

Only 7 sold for under £300 and up to a top price of £420 for a B.Blue from Alex Dann. CW Potter was up to £408 for Blues with Simmentals from Alex Dann to £362 and Herefords to £355. Limousins from RJ Barnes reached £350

Another strong market on numbers and thanks to all farmers for supporting Norwich, it is much appreciated.
