A very good entry as the weather turns, found plenty of customers including some new ones for quality cattle. The edge was off some, but others no different and the prices for quality sorts still leave finishers on a knife edge. However, beef is a very strong product and despite what the lunatics say, will always be in demand.

Better than expected, with a lot of dairy farmers outing them like there is no tomorrow, selling to 177ppkg or £1548 for Tom Kemp Farms

Plenty of bidders for cow and calf outfits, to £1525 for ER Crane & Co and £1355 for Pearn Wyatt. Young store bulls reached £1260 for David Penn

A lot of smaller calves about, but still a good solid trade with farmer buyers keen and taking most of them. CW Potter got top price with Blues to £435, £410, £378. Alex Dann reached £275 and RJ Barnes £270. Angus from David Parsons sold to £240 and Limousins from R Paterson to £218.

A small day at Norwich, though prices good throughout with sheep keenly fought over.

Lambs in great demand with markets across the country lesser numbers. Today we topped at 313.30ppkg and £155 per head for Bures Farm Partners.
