Light entries caused by plenty of feed and higher price caused by plenty of feed (plus better beef returns !)  Many did not think that the store cattle trade could get dearer - but it has. Will the beef price return to very high levels - who knows ?

A lighter entry met another very fast trade with Cows to 208ppkg for MD Barrett and £1309 for JM Fryatt

A better entry forward and what a trade for very breed and type. CW Potter topped the market with Blues at £435 with other Blues from R Paterson to £328, RJ Barnes to £305 and Alex Dann to £275. Strong Blues from JRA to £390. Natives were well sought after with CB & SC Gapp selling Hereford Bulls to £305 and R. Paterson with Hereford Heifers to £225. Black and Whites had a big lift with a strong calf from LG Brigham to £200 and others  at £145 for David Parsons and £102 for Alex Dann. Not many Limousins about but JRA made £390 of a strong heifer and RJ Barnes got £312 for a small Bull.
