Another excellent entry and a much better trade than anticipated. Most parts of the country are greener than around here (thats the colour of the vegetation, not because they burn less coal) however our farmers have an abundance of stuff that other parts of the country do not, so generally they seem happy.
We are sure that the new Prime Minister understands the price of milk and bread and hopefully will be good for the rural workers.

A select show found a lot of interest, with a Limousin Stock Bull from Holkham Estate to £1880 and one from Pat Key to £1700.

We managed to maintin a very strong trade for all types. Top price went to CW Potter with Blues at £365 and £355, closely followed by Alex Dann with Blues at £360 and £355. RJ Barnes had Limousins to £330 with Herefords from R. Paterson to £275 and Charolais to £250.

Today we held our second Breeding sale which brought many old faces not seen for a while. the commerial section was bouyant in the lambs, a bit easier in the culls with meat lacking.

A good show of lambs which had been fed. Bigger lambs at a premium topping at £150 twice for Sara Harrold and Jemima Howell at 292ppkg.
