STORE & BREEDING CATTLE (200 HEAD)

A great entry for the harvest period and when considering the lack of H20 in this part of the country, a great trade.

Second quality cattle were more variable and less money than recently, however anything good, especially stronger sorts, were an unbelievable trade.

Cull Cattle (14)

Cows are a bit less than a month ago but still a brilliant trade.
Cows sold to 188ppkg or £1500 for SG Lutkin & Son and to a top of £1614 for EV Morton

BREEDING CATTLE

A nice Pedigree Limousin Bull from Kiln Lodge Cattle sold to £2,000 with Cows and Calves to £1800 for a Limousin Cow with young Bull Caf from RM Shaw & AJ Goate

(40) Calves

Another excellent entry sold to a slightly easier trade, in line with the national trend, but still very fast with a full compliment of buyers this time.

B.Blues sold to £340 for Alex Dann, but Limousins topped the market at £345 for R. Paterson. David Parsons reached £230 for Angus and Herefords from R. Paterson sold to £250

SHEEP (523)

After the continued hot spell sheep are lacking finish, with grass burnt off and rising feed costs seem to be hitting the sheep trade.
