STORE CATTLE TO £1500 THREE TIMES

Store and Breeding Cattle

Amy Kinge led the way with a Blonde x steer to £1500, equalled by Richard Criddle with 2 Blue steers at the same price. Ple\se note these were store cattle, not finished cattle.  Overall a very pleasing entry and trade with some long lost buyers returning. Sherlock commented that one farmer said  he makes more money organising mud races and carrying peoples suitcases from their cars than he does buying store cattle at Norwich. He also said that now we are entering Bovine Respiratory Disease season, he is going to glue himself to the A11 in support of his new cause "Ventilate Britain".

Breeding Cattle

These were more money this week, with Richard Criddle selling B.Blue outfits to £1590 and A.Watts reaching £1580. No Bulls trading unfortunately. We have had a good run lately with Lim x Blue Bulls to £3500 and Pedigree Limousin Bulls to £6700. Just a reminder for next Spring.

With reports of calves from around the country being less money this week, we seemed to buck the trend, with Blue Bulls to £470 for Alex Dann and £455 for CW Potter. The quality Charolais from R. Paterson (happy birthday Ken) all sold over £300 up to £355. Angus from David Parsons made £320 and £318 for Bull calves. Black and whites sold to £200 for CW Potter and £125 for LG Brigham
